Merkules is a platinum-selling and award-winning Canadian hip-hop artist from Surrey, British Columbia. He began his career early under the name “Merk Mikz,” quickly gaining recognition by rapping over well-known beats. His sharp wordplay, direct tone, and masterful delivery have captivated a steadily growing fanbase.

As a Monster Energy-sponsored artist, Merkules has amassed billions of streams, followers, and views. He also secured the #19 spot on the overall iTunes Australia chart. Merkules has attained significant mainstream exposure, including an impactful appearance on “Dr. Phil” in 2020 while promoting his album “Apply Pressure.” During this appearance, he offered support to an aspiring rapper on the condition that they stay clean. As an evolving introspective rapper, Merkules delves into mental health topics in his lyrics. “I speak on topics that maybe everybody else isn’t willing to talk about. Joey Stylez is a well-known name in Indigenous communities as well as with the larger public across Canada and internationally. Just recently, he has had song placements on the popular Reservation Dogs series as well as a second song on the gripping Mayor of Kingstown series. His Song Indian Girl Driving Me Crazy picked up the best Pop Music Video award at the 2022 Native American Music Awards. He has an impressing array of music awards and accolades, including a Juno nomination and new song with Juno award winner Joel Wood. Joey’s music has been featured in the Hollywood movie Wind River, that delves into the issue of missing and murdered Indigenous women. He has appeared as himself on Kevin Costner and Taylor Sheridan’s Yellowstone television series on Paramount Television and his song Save Your Soul was featured in the opening episode of the explosive hit series. With online streaming in the tens of millions and collaborations with big names such as Dragonette, Bun B & Ty Dolla $ign, he has showcased his talents to the delight of his fans.
